Special Committee on Declaration and Examination of Financial Interests
First established in 2004, by virtue of a decision of the Committee of Selection the Committee works towards the implementation of the Law 49(I)/2004 on the President, the Ministers and the Members of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus (Declaration and Examination of Assets). It is composed of the President of the House, two permanent Members and two alternate Members.
The President of the Republic, Ministers, Deputy Ministers and Parliamentarians are obliged to file a declaration of their assets, as well as those of their dependent children, and any changes thereof, at the office of the President of the House of Representatives. This is done within three months of assuming their duties, as well as every three years during their mandate, and within three months following their departure from office.
