Representative of Limassol constituency under the banner of the KS EDEK since May 2011.

  Chairman of the House Standing Committee on Institutions, Merit and the Commissioner for Administration (Ombudsman) since May 2015.
  Member of the House Standing Committee on Agriculture and Natural Resources, of the House Standing Committee on Communications and Works and of the House Standing Committee on Financial and Budgetary Affairs.
  Member of the delegation of the House to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).

Political career:

 President of the KS EDEK Limassol District Committee (2003-2008).
 Chairman of the board of the Licencing Authority (2006-2008).
 Minister of Communications and Works of the Republic of Cyprus during Demetris Christofias’ presidency (2008-2010).
 Member of the KS EDEK Political Bureau and of the KS EDEK Central Committee.
