 Member of the Socialist Youth Organisation EDEN (SN EDEN) (1981-1990).
 Member of the Nicosia-Kyrenia District Committee of the Socialist Party EDEK (SK EDEK) (1990-1999).
 Organisational Secretary of the Socialist Women’s Movement (1987-1999) and its President since 1998.
 Member of the Central Committee of SK EDEK/Social Democrats Movement (KISOS)/KS EDEK since 1990 and of the Movement’s Political Bureau since 1999.
 Head of the KISOS/KS EDEK Committee on Equality, the Family and the Child since 2000.
 Member of the Committee on Equal Opportunities of the Party of European Socialists (PES) since 2000.
 Member of the board of the Cyprus Gender Equality Observatory since 2005.
