Studies: Mechanical Engineering, Economics and Political Science (Universität Stuttgart) and doctorate (PhD) in Political Science (Universität Tübingen).

Profession: Development consultant.

Parliamentary tenure / activity:

Representative of Famagusta constituency under the banner of DISY since 2006.

Is:

• Member of the House Standing Committee on Agriculture and Natural Resources, of the House Standing Committee on Internal Affairs and of the House Standing Committee on Refugees-Enclaved-Missing-Adversely Affected Persons.
• Member of the delegation of the House to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) since May 2013.

Political career:

• Secretary of the DISY Youth Organisation (NEDISY) Enlightenment Committee and Famagusta District Secretary of the Organisation of Young Scientists (ONE).
• Member-observer at the Economic and Social Council of the European Union (2003-2004).
• General Secretary of the Farmers Association until 2008.
• Vice-chairman of the European Syndicate of Farming Organisations (COPA) and member of several advisory committees of the General Directorate of Agriculture and Rural Development of the European Union.
• Member of the DISY Political Bureau.
