Chairman of the House Standing Committee for Areas in Proximity to the Ceasefire Line and of the House Standing Committee on Trade and Industry.

• DISY Commissioner for Refugees, Enclaved, Missing and Adversely Affected Persons (2001-2006).
• Vice-president of DISY.
