Standing Committee on Defence Affairs
This Committee deals with matters falling with the competences of the Ministry of Defence. In particular, it examines bills, legislative proposals and regulations pertaining to the organization and operation of the Military of the Republic of Cyprus as well as the National Guard. In this framework, it also examines the part of the state budget that relates to defence expenses. The Committee exercises parliamentary control with the registration and examination of items relating to defence and the general operation of the National Guard.
