Teacher.

Parliamentary tenure/activity:

Representative of Famagusta constituency under the banner of AKEL-Left-New Forces (2008-2016) and since October 2020.

Has previously served as:
Chairperson of the House Standing Committee on Agriculture and Natural Resources.

Currently serves as:
- Chairperson of the House Standing Committee on Agriculture and Natural Resources.
- Member of the House Standing Committee on Defence Affairs of the House Standing Committee on Transport, Communications and Works and of the House Standing Committee on Energy, Trade, Industry and Tourism.

 

Political career:

- Secretary of the United Democratic Youth Organisation (EDON) in Deryneia (1989-1993). 
- Secretary of the Deryneia Cluster Committee of the Progressive Party of the Working People (AKEL) (2004-2006). 
- Member of the AKEL Famagusta District Committee since 2008. 
- Famagusta District Secretary of the Union of Cypriot Farmers (EKA) and member of the Secretariat of the Executive Board of EKA since 2009. 
- Member of the AKEL Central Committee since 2010.
