Representative of Nicosia constituency under the banner of AKEL-Left -New Forces since 2011.

- Deputy Chairperson of the House Standing Committee on Development Plans and Public Expenditure Control.
- Head of the delegation of the House to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE PA).

Currently serves as:
- Chairperson of the House Standing Committee on Human Rights and on Equal Opportunities for Men and Women.
- Member of the House Standing Committee on Development Plans and Public Expenditure Control and of the House Standing Committee on Institutions, Merit and the Commissioner for Administration (Ombudsman).
- Head of the delegation of the House to the OSCE PA.
- OSCE PA’s Special Representative on Fighting Corruption since 2019.
- One of the Vice Presidents of the OSCE PA since July 2021.
