- Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the House Standing Committee on Financial and Budgetary Affairs.
Currently serves as:
- Leader of the DIKO parliamentary group since December 2013.
- Member of the Special Committee on Ethics for the Members of the House of Representatives.
- Member of the delegation of the House to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).

- Organisational Secretary of the Nicosia District Committee of the Democratic Party Youth Organisation (NEDIK).
- Member of the DIKO Executive Bureau.
- Vice President of DIKO (March 2009-January 2013).
- Head of the Financial Sector and of the Financial Research Group of DIKO.
- As Vice President of DIKO, Co-ordinator of the Party Mechanism for Policy Planning.
- President of DIKO since December 2013.
- Candidate for the Presidency of the Republic of Cyprus in the 2018 presidential elections.
- Member of the National Council, the supreme advisory body to the President of the Republic on the Cyprus problem.
