Representative of Famagusta constituency under the banner of DIKO (1999-2011), independent (2011-2016) and under the banner of DIKO since 2016.

Has previously served as: 
- Deputy Chairperson of the House Standing Committee on Financial and Budgetary Affairs.
- Chairperson of the House Standing Committee on Communications and Works. 
- Chairperson of the House Standing Committee on Development Plans and Public Expenditure Control.

Currently serves as:
- Chairperson of the House Standing Committee on Development Plans and Public Expenditure Control.
- Member of the House Standing Committee on Defence Affairs, of the House Standing Committee on Refugees-Enclaved-Missing-Adversely Affected Persons, of the House Standing Committee on Institutions, Merit and the Commissioner for Administration (Ombudsman) and of the Ad Hoc House Committee on the Study of the Demographic Problem.
- Member of the delegation of the House to the Interparliamentary Conference for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) and the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP).
