Married to Katerina Timotheou; has two sons and one daughter.

Studies:
Law (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens), Advanced Master in European Law (Licence Spéciale en Droit Européen) (Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium), Certificate in Competition Law (University of Bristol, United Kingdom) and pre-doctoral diploma (DEA) in European Competition Law (Université Libre de Bruxelles).

Profession before election:
Lawyer.

English, French.

Parliamentary tenure/activity:

Representative of Nicosia constituency under the banner of KS EDEK (2016-2022) and under the banner of EDEK Socialist Party* (October 2022-January 2023) and single-socialist representative since January 2023.

Has previously served as:
- Vice President of the Socialists, Democrats and Greens Group of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) for the year 2019.

Currently serves as: 
- Member of the House Standing Committee on Foreign and European Affairs, of the House Standing Committee on Legal Affairs, Justice and Public Order, of the House Standing Committee on Refugees-Enclaved-Missing-Adversely Affected Persons and of the House Standing Committee on Human Rights and on Equal Opportunities for Men and Women.
- Alternate member of the delegation of the House to the PACE and member of the delegation of the House to the Conference of Parliamentary Committees for Union Affairs of Parliaments of the European Union (COSAC).

Political career:

- Member of the Latsia Municipal Council (1996-2001).
- Mayor of Latsia (2001-2006). 
- Second vice-president of KS EDEK (2012-2015).
- Deputy President of KS EDEK (March 2015-May 2017).
